Proofreading is an essential step in the editing process, as it is the stage where small but important mistakes are caught. We provide a meticulous and accurate review of your document, watching for simple oversights, spelling and grammar errors, and mistakes in continuity to help you put that final polish on your document.
Our proofreaders will:
- Correct typographical errors
- Correct proper names, numbers and non-English terms according to a specific reference source (style guide, dictionary)
- Correct punctuation errors such as misplaced commas, incorrect em-dash use
- Query inconsistencies in text
- Eliminate widows and orphans, other inappropriate typographical results such as rivers of white
- Identify errors that result from the use of computers, such as garbled tables, passages in the wrong font, use of a homonym, etc.
